Greece 2007

To Greece we went with only backpacks and a tent, we wanted to walk to whereever we wanted to go, but we ended up renting a car on every island we visited. It was jsut impossible to walk with Maya in this heat and on those roads (the Greeks drive like southern countries do ;-) ).

We landed in Thessaloniki and stayed there for the night in an occupied building which the people who occupied it used as an art gallery or something like that.

We travelled around the islands for four weeks and when the money went low, we looked for a job. Luckily Patrick found a job as windsurf instructor on Kos, appartment included.

I found a job at a hotel, where I first worked in the restaurant and then in the pool bar.

Greece is such a beautiful country, the people are lovely and the food is just great!! It surely deserves the name "Carribic of Europe"!
